WALKING The Gatehouse is at the junction of North Road and Hampstead Lane.  Situated on a roundabout which can also be approached via Highgate High Street and Highgate West Hill.  It is a large mock tudor building which is well known in and around Highgate.
BY TUBE

Highgate Station  (Northern Line – High Barnet Branch)  is the closest (allow for a 10 minute uphill walk).

Coming through the ticket barrier, turn immediately right, head for Exit 3,  and take the second escalator to the Archway Road.  Cross the Archway Road and walk up Southwood Lane.   Continue along Southwood Lane until you reach Highgate High Street.  Look to the right and you will see The Gatehouse Pub, a large mock-Tudor building on a roundabout at the north end of the Village.  Entrance to the theatre is in Hampstead Lane or through the pub.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE BY TUBE:

Take the underground (Northern Line–High Barnet branch) to Archway Station.

Turn left out of the main exit and left into Highgate Hill.   Take either 143, 210,  or 271 up the hill to Highgate Village.

By Bus Along with the 143, 210 and 271, the 214 goes through Highgate via Camden and Kentish Town.
BY RAIL Euston, Kings Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge and Charing Cross are all on the Northern Line.  There are British Rail stations at Kentish Town, Holloway Road and Gospal Oak.  All require a further journey by bus or taxi.
BY TAXI Highgate  is known to all London black cab drivers.  Upstairs at the Gatehouse is on one of "The Knowledge" routes
BY CAR

The Gatehouse is situated on a roundabout at the junction of Hampstead Lane, North Road, Highgate High Street and Highgate West Hill.  Parking is permissible on any single yellow line all day Saturday and Sunday and after 6.30pm any evening.   (Please note this does not apply to certain sections of Hampstead Lane).  There is pay and display in most of Highgate 10am-12noon Monday – Friday and residents only parking on some streets.  However, there are several streets with no parking restrictions at all.  Always read the signs wherever you park.

 The small space immediately outside the theatre is for loading and unloading ONLY.     

BY AIR Heathrow Airport

Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington then take the Circle or Metropolitan line (Eastbound) to Kings Cross. (change to the Northbound Northern Line).  Black London Taxis are available at Heathrow.  The journey will take at least an hour.

Gatwick Airport

is served by the British Rail Gatwick Express.  Passengers should take the train to Victoria Station and then the Victoria Line tube Northbound to Euston (then change to the Northbound Northern Line, High Barnet Branch).
